About Me
I found my way into grant writing over ten years ago. A non-profit colleague groaned at a dense RFP, and asked “You like to write, right?” It was love at first draft.
Grant writing is essentially competitive paper writing for money. A funder puts out a call. The best idea wins.
Of course, it’s rarely that easy. What if the funder doesn’t put out calls? How much money do you ask for? What the dickens is a logic model?
If you don’t do it all the time, writing a grant requires an enormous effort to strategize the right ask and translate your expertise into what feels like a different language for your proposal.
Fortunately for you, I write grants all the time. I work with every expertise under the sun from marine biologists to archaeologists. (In fact, I work with most specialists who never see the sun. I’m looking at you legal historians and hardware R&D.) You bring your expertise and I will find your funders, develop proposals with you, and manage awards. I focus on funding so you can focus on your work.
I live in Rhode Island and work with clients across the country. When I’m not working, you can find me knitting to audiobooks, running botanical experiments, or reorganizing my pedalboard.
